Gary began his career with the Bollman Hat Company in June of 1978 as a trucker in the Shipping Department. In December of that year, he was promoted to supervisor trainee in the Fulling Department. He has served the company as a supervisor in the Fulling Department and as Industrial Engineer prior to becoming Vice President of Manufacturing in 1995.

Gary grew up in Adamstown, Pennsylvania and is the third generation in his family to work for the Bollman Hat Company. He is a 1978 graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in accounting. He and his wife reside in the Reading, PA area. They have two daughters, one a Penn State graduate and one a student at Millersville University. He is an avid Nittany Lion football fan and also enjoys Phillies baseball and NASCAR.
